What to Experience Inside the Appellation Pavilions
Each of the nine Appellation Pavilions at the Bordeaux Wine Festival offers a unique, immersive experience that highlights the diversity of Bordeaux’s wine regions. Here's what you can do in each pavilion:

Taste the Terroir
Sample wines from over 60 Bordeaux appellations, including well-known names like Margaux, Pauillac, Saint-Émilion, Pessac-Léognan, Sauternes, and Fronsac. Friendly winegrowers and merchants will guide you through tasting notes, terroirs, and food pairings.
2. Meet the Winemakers
Engage directly with local producers—some from centuries-old châteaux, others from innovative new vineyards. Learn how climate, soil, and tradition shape every bottle.
Mini Masterclasses
Join short, informal tasting workshops at select pavilions where sommeliers explain how to distinguish between left bank and right bank Bordeaux wines, or how to pair red wine with unexpected foods like chocolate or oysters.
Interactive Tasting Routes
Use your Tasting Pass (Pass 10+ or Pass 4) to create your own wine trail. Each sip is tracked digitally, allowing you to revisit favorites or discover new varietals across different pavilions.
Discover Sustainable Wines
Visit the Eco-Appellation corner to explore organic, biodynamic, and low-intervention wines. Producers here focus on sustainability and innovation.
Chill-Out & Photo Zones
Sip your glass with a view in shaded lounge areas, pose in photo booths set against vineyard-themed backdrops, or relax by the river with ambient music.
Regional Food Pairings
Each pavilion includes regional specialties from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Try duck confit, canelés, or Comté cheese, perfectly matched to the wines being poured.
Family & Discovery Area
For younger guests or new wine explorers, some pavilions offer non-alcoholic grape tastings, interactive wine history exhibits, and playful activities about the winemaking process.
With these curated experiences, the Bordeaux Wine Festival becomes more than just a tasting—it's a cultural journey through France’s most iconic wine regions. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or groups of friends, this is your chance to live like a local and drink like a connoisseur.
